How do you feel about the assignments?
I like them. I think that they are a lot more specific than last year, which makes it easier and harder at the same time. It is definitely a challenge.

How do you feel about the work you have been doing?
I am content with it. I don't care for the projects we did with the colored construction paper, though.

What do you wish you had been able to do, or what do you aspire to do in the next assignment?
I really like Bob's most recent piece with the usage of water color pencils. I hope to use them at some point, whether it is incorporating it into my current project or a future project.

I just learned that if you click on the white screen above where my fish are swimming, you can feed them food!

I've been to this very store before! This place is quite touristy but cool. Lots of art work sold on the streets by artists, although the majority of souveneirs consist of postcards, shot glasses, and the usual junk.

INSPIRATION
in buenos aires, i came across this cute little barrio (neighborhood). i enjoyed walking through los calles and enjoying the inconspicuous tango dances being performed down random alleys. all of the architecture was beautiful but the colors are what got to me the most. look at the pictures and see for yourself.

My inspiration for the week is Frieda Kahlo. I saw a portrait of hers in the MALBA museó en Buenos Aires. She makes herself look really ugly. The unibrow also doesn't do her much justice. Cool brushstrokes though.

In art, we have been making self portraits with charcoal. We use different lighting each day and even one of the days Jacquie and I drew each other. I want to involve charcoal and self portraits in my final project somehow. One of my biggest struggles was getting my 2nd eye similar to my first.
